The GIS and IT Administrator is the executive staff member who provides the bridge between the Enterprise GIS requirements and the IT design and deployment to meet the objectives.

In this role, PriorIT Consulting, LLC will be responsible for the following:

​

• Technical expertise and assisting with coordination and administration of a Customer's Enterprise GIS and IT Program.

• Assisting with and organizing system development activities

• Providing management and operations of GIS Portal and ArcGIS Online environments

• Participating in the development, implementation, integration, operation, and maintenance of GIS and other GIS management related activities

• A variety of new applications, programs and modifications to existing GIS programs and coordinates with other 3rd party contractors as-needed.

• Work is performed within established customer policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Specifically, this role is responsible for the following:
 

• Manages installation, configuration, upgrades, licensing and troubleshooting of spatial system including

  • Databases

  • Software

  • User applications

  • Hardware

• Implementing best practice in:

  • Routine geodatabase maintenance

  • Version management

  • Reconciling/posting

  • GDB compress, analyze, and index

  • Other geodatabase administrative functions as-needed
     

Specifically, this role is responsible for the following:
 

• Implements best practice in ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Online administration and management

• Publishing and updating GIS services and other related content

• Coordinating and monitoring GIS hardware, software, licensing, database, and other GIS products and services

• Participating in activities associated with implementing, operating, and enhancing the GIS

• Creating and maintaining:

  • Web maps and applications as requested

  • Web application & solution development

  • Develop and implement field/mobile workflows

  • Develop and maintain application documentation.

Specifically, this role is responsible for the following:
 

• Tuning spatial system to ensure performance requirements are met by monitoring network and other remote systems for GIS

• Perform troubleshooting for ESRI ArcGIS suite of applications such as:

  • ArcGIS Desktop

  • ArcGIS Enterprise

  • ArcGIS Online

• Perform routine administration such as setting up new users for various GIS related applications.

• Coordinate application upgrades and patching

• Facilitate communication between end users and IT department

• PriorIT Consulting provides hands-on GIS experience equivalent to a senior-level GIS professional and thorough knowledge of the ArcGIS platform lead role

• Experience in GIS database development/maintenance in a multi-user environment

• Knowledge of GIS data management best practices

• Experience with Esri ArcGIS Technology, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online with a focus on Geodatabases

• Experience managing application integrations and implementations
