2-Day course providing hands on approach to performance tuning of a SQL Server geodatabase
Service Description
The following is the agenda for this 2-Day course: Day 1: • How to establish Attribute indexes • How to maintain Statistics • Manage attribute indexes and statistics • Spatial indexes • Maintaining geodatabase performance for versioned data • Schema locks removal • Create Indexes • Update statistics • Reconcile and Post • Address Conflicts • Compress the geodatabase • Rebuild indexes • Automate performance tasks Day 2: • Use either ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS ArcMap Projects • Convert ArcGIS Pro Projects to ArcMap Projects • Use Esri MXDPerfstat tool to generate sql • Use SQL Server Trace to collect sql trace files • Run SQL Server trace files through SQL Server Optimizer • Implement SQL Server Optimizer Execution Plan Requirements: • Attendees will be asked to bring their issues to the class • Attendees will need admin access to both their workstation and database servers that will be used • Attendees will host their environment to work through these issues and be responsible for host control • Attendees will need to download and install the tools that will be emailed prior to the beginning of the course
